Motherhood Out Loud! – May 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 19. As a tribute for Mother’s Day, this is formatted as groups of monologues and small vignettes. This show shatters traditional notions about parenthood, unveils its inherent comedy and celebrates the deeply personal truths that span and unite generations.
The Pirates of Penzance – Jun 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29,
& 30.
A classic Gilbert & Sullivan musical about Frederic, who has spent his formative years as a junior pirate, plans to make his 21st birthday by breaking free from the Pirate King and beginning his courtship of Mabel. But because he was born on Feb 29, Frederic isn’t technically 21 – and the Pirate King is still his master. Unless something gives, Frederic will soon be on a collision course with the Pirate King’s new nemesis, Mabel’s Father.
Drop Dead Perfect – Apr 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25. A 1950s Florida gargoyle as rich as she is ruthless, Idris Seabright expects everyone in her life to be as obedient and unchanging as the subjects of her still-life paintings – and she’ll do anything to keep them still. Idris might be just as handy with a hatchet as she is with a paintbrush. The double entendres come a mile a minute in this campy take on classic melodrama.
The House at Pooh Corner – Sep 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22. (Children’s Production) Christopher Robin has decided to run away with his friends Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and the rest. Probably they’ll go to the North Pole or to the South Pole, because there is a dark, mysterious threat that he’s to be sent away to Education. Nobody knows exactly what or where that is, and if he’s sent to such a distant place, what can his friends possibly do without him? So, it’s generally agreed that they’ll run away. As the situation becomes clearer, Christopher Robin isn’t quite so sure that running away is the answer.
The Clone People – Oct 18, 019, 20, 25, 26, 27. Jay Westcott and Nessa Paxton are two of Hollywood’s most successful stars and a happily married couple. While filming on location, Nessa sustains an accidental blow on the head and flees to her home in Beverly Hills before anxious studio staff members can stop her. She bursts in on Jay and, nearly incoherent with hysteria, insists she is really Polly Ackerman, a girl who vanished just before their marriage. Jay fears for her sanity, and over her protests, he allows the studio to find her and provide medical help. Several strange events make him suspect she might be telling the truth and that something incredibly evil is going on at the studio where he may be the next victim. For an evening of plausible nightmare, suspense and breathtaking terror with a shocking surprise ending, this show can’t be excelled. #performing arts theater #heatrical productions #performing arts theatre
